Hey Angus! Your first suggestion is the method I've been using so far, but I have some concerns with it...
I have a couple of flows that I run whether A is home or B is home which is simple enough, using two only if conditions (and without connecting the two). This seems to work fine for flows like turning the lights on at sunset.
The trouble is in Left flows... I find myself having to set up very complicated conditions since you can't use two when triggers (i.e. when A leaves and when B leaves – i.e. only after both have left). So, I've set it up as
When A leaves a location
And only if B is Left
Then turn the lights off
BUT what if we leave together (as we often do), and B for whatever reason takes a little bit longer to recognise the location change? The flow will not run...
I could duplicate the flow to work both ways but this is just too complicated (especially when working with IFTTT actions...
As a workaround, I've started using Timer delays before the flow continues any further, just to double check that we have both in fact Left. I hope that makes sense?
Anyway, I'd love to see an example of this:
set a counter and increment it when someone arrives at home and decrement it when someone leaves
I feel like this may simplify some of my flows... Can you share some screenshots? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how to set it up.
