I created an Alexa group of all my three kitchen lights, named "Group of Kitchen Lights", but I haven't been able to find out how to get a reference the group.
First, is it possible for Stringify to work with Alexa groups?
Second, if so, how?
Stringify cannot work with Alexa groups.
Thanks aaiyar! I guess I jumped to the wrong conclusion when I read something that Kris wrote, but I'm following up Kris on another thread, so for me, this topic is closed.
Can you group your lights via other means? Does IFTTT trigger Alexa groups? If so, you could daisy chain it through the IFTTT thing.
aaiyar - you are correct that Stringify does not appear to work with Alexa groups but the odd thing is that it does show the Alexa group in the things list (including the web view) so this is an issue for me. I am trying to use the Stringify web as a control panel and now have things tiles that basically don't work. Oh well....
On a related note hoping Stringify is working on a way to have users customize the web views so I can not show tiles that I don't need or want to be viewed like Alexa Groups that don't work !
I have a Stringify flow called Start Cooking. I have IFTTT using Alexa as a trigger with those words to run the Stringify flow. This flow switches on the kitchen, cooker and dining table lights. I could have done it only in Stringify but my husband did not want to say "Alexa, tell Stringify to...." so now we just have "Alexa, trigger ...."
